Keep your friends close, and your enemies closer -- that’s the basic idea of coopetition. Coopetition is what it sounds like -- a mix of “competition,” and “cooperation.” It’s a business strategy for knowing when competitors benefit more from working together than they do working against each other. Take the COVID-19 vaccine for instance -- Pfizer and BioNTech combined their resources to make a product that benefitted everyone.
