2021 was a weird year for YouTube. Dislikes were removed, Rewind was cancelled, and shorts were introduced. Honestly, YouTube feels less and less recognizable by the day. But YouTube claims these decisions, especially removing dislikes, is crucial for the safety and security of YouTube creators everywhere. Except there's an alternative angle, that I wanted to discuss.
