Another machine is powered-up and the software team is doing what they do to make things work! We're showing an initial dry cycle run here as we work on the robot tooling alignment to the dial indexer.

The finished system will rely on two vibratory bowl feeders to transport bulk tubes of adhesive (from a brand name we'd like to keep confidential) into either 5UP or 6UP nests, depending on the part type and packaging type for the production run. The magic happens at the vision inspection station, where cameras capture an image of each tube in its nest to determine how it is oriented. Tooling with very tiny vacuum cups lowers to grip each tube and rotate it perfectly so the company logo will face outwards once packaged. Fanuc robots unload the tubes to the dial nest that feeds the integrated heat seal blister packaging system that will be placed adjacent to the dial nest.
