The scriptures declare the land of Braj to be the holiest of places in the universe, as the Supreme Lord, Sri Krishna, performed His pastimes in this sacred land, 5000 years ago.

Here are the list of places we will be visiting on the first day of the Parikrama-

1) Mathura - The birthplace of Lord Krishna and the capital city of the warrior kings of the lineage of Lord Krishna.

2) Vishrama Ghat - 'Vishrama' means 'rest' and 'Ghat' means steps leading to the sacred river. It is said that Lord Krishna took rest at this spot along the river Yamuna after killing the tyrannical King Kamsa.

3) Gokula - Among the 12 forests of Braj, the first and foremost is the forest of Mahavana. Mahavana is also called Gokula.

4) Nanda Bhavan - Nanda Bhavan was the residence of Nanda Maharaja, the father of Lord Sri Krishna.

5) Ukhal Bandhan – Lord Krishna got the name 'Damodara' because Mother Yashoda tied little Krishna's belly with ropes, to a grinding mortar. This sweet pastime of motherly punishment took place here.

6) Brahmanda Ghat – The place where Lord Krishna showed the entire universe within His mouth to a stunned Mother Yashoda.

ISKCON Bangalore presents Braja Mandala Parikrama, a captivating virtual pilgrimage that explores the sacred sites associated with Lord Krishna's divine childhood pastimes. From the holy birthplaces of Krishna and Radharani to the lush forests where They frolicked with Their friends, this web series offers a unique opportunity to experience the magic of Vrindavan from the comfort of your home.

Lord Krishna appeared on earth about 5,000 years ago to protect His innocent devotees from the hands of wicked demons terrorising the planet. He also came to demonstrate His loving pastimes to the people of this world to revive the dormant love everyone has for Him.

Discover the sacred places of Lord Krishna's childhood pastimes with the Vrindavan Web Series, an online pilgrimage tour. In this journey, you can explore Krishna and Radharani's birthplaces, where They grew up and performed Their ever-compelling lilas with Their parents, friends, the cowherd boys and girls, cows, mischievous monkeys, where Krishna killed demons sent by the tyrannical Kamsa and much more, all from the comfort of your home.

The Bhagavad-gita (4.9, 15.6) teaches that Krishna's birth and activities are divine and those who can understand this are eligible to be transferred to His eternal abode beyond this temporary cosmos. Krishna came again in this Kali-yuga in the form of a devotee, Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, to teach pure devotion.

Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu instructs,

ārādhyo bhagavān vrajeśa-tanayas
tad-dhāma vṛndāvanam

Just as Lord Krishna is worshippable,
His abode Vrindavan is also worshippable.

Lord Krishna incarnated along with His eternal abode, Goloka Vrindavana, and His eternal associates in Vrindavan, making it a place of inestimable importance. Even today, residents greet people with chants of "Radhe Radhe! Jaye Radhe!" glorifying Srimati Radharani, Krishna's spiritual pleasure potency.

With the passage of time and the advent of Kali-yuga, this profound spiritual wisdom and the sites of Krishna's pastimes were almost lost to obscurity. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu ordered His preeminent disciples, the six Gosvamis of Vrindavan, to excavate these lost holy places, construct temples and write books extensively to spread awareness about Krishna among the masses.

Following in their footsteps, Srila Prabhupada, the Founder-Acharya of ISKCON, travelled around the world to spread Krishna's message by constructing Krishna temples and farm communities, writing several books, and inspiring millions to become Krishna's devotees.

The Braja Mandala Parikrama features narration and presentation by Sampati Dasa, President of @hkmpune. He guides us through this sacred journey with insightful commentary, enriching our experience of the pilgrimage. His narration provides historical and spiritual context, deepening the understanding of the holy sites visited during the parikrama and enhancing the overall devotional experience.

Join us on this enthralling journey to the land of over 5,000 Krishna temples.
