According to Dr. Daniel Martinez, Urologist with Baptist Health South Florida, infertility is the inability for a couple to be able to produce children after having a regular intercourse after one year. Some studies say 50 % male factor can cause it.

The doctor explains some causes of infertility in men: varicoceles, trauma to testicles, unhealthy lifestyle, certain medical conditions, hormonal disorders and genetic disorders.

The specialist affirms one of the most common causes of infertility in the U.S. is a vasectomy.
