BTC Diesel Locomotives Number 01 Featuring the Hornby Class 21/29 and Some Interesting Freight Stock

Welcome to this video that marks the start of a series featuring the short lived BTC (British Transport Commission) early diesel locomotives.

However in this one we initially focus on the stock, all of which apart from the brake van I purchased from Adrian Emberton as he continues to find good homes for the large collection of his relative Malcolm.

The 1955 modernisation plan placed orders with many different companies for prototype and early diesel locomotives producing a raft of fascinating and attractive locomotives. Many of which are available in model form and have lasted far longer than some of their ill-fated real life counterparts.
