Haworth was holding its annual Steam Punk Festival again in the first weekend in October.

Haworth is a beautiful unique Village in West Yorkshire with historical links to the Bronte sisters.

I had been there for nearly 90 minutes and took more than a 100 photos and was ready to head back home when a beautiful familiar face shone across the cobbed street .

It was my Ukrainian friend Lana who arrived in the UK soon after the war started with Russia.

Lana managed to find a sponsor in the Rochdale area where I live and she had connected with my other Ukrainian friend Svetlana who has lived in the UK for many years.

With this Ukrainian connection we took Lana on several day trips out to explore the local area.

It had been a few months since we met last and it was nice to hear that's she now had a job has a teaching assistant.
