How to PUNCH & DESTROY a Defensive Guard | Fighting Tips (2016)    • How to PUNCH & DESTROY a Defensive Gu...  . Fighting Tips of the week: How to Land More Punches.

How to punch to defend yourself in a fight relies on punching through the centreline of the body. The classic hands up boxing guard that the average person uses does leave the centre of the face exposed to attack. If you can punch hard and fast to this region of the face then you may be able to trick them into further exposing more gaps in their guards defence.

This week we look at a simple idea of forcing your attacker to expose their face by punching hard and fast to their nose. We then discuss how to switch this punching into a trapping action that allows you to control the arms for a secondary counter attack.

Of course, it simple logic that your attacker will not be standing still allowing you to punch them in the face, he will most likely retaliate with his own punch in order to defend himself. So in the second section of the video we discuss how to counter his punch, by cover and hitting back with an elbow to the face of your attacker.
