East Indian Chitaps Recipe | Rice Flour Crepes | Chittap Recipe, East Indian Polas ईस्ट इंडियन चीताप

Ingredients: (1 cup = 200 ml)
1 Medium size coconut - (for coconut milk grind along with 1 Cup of warm Water)
1 Whole Egg
1 Tbsp Sugar (increase if you like it sweeter)
1 Tsp Instant Dry Yeast (any yeast you prefer)
2 Cups Rice Flour (Ready-made store brought Rice Flour)
1 Cup Maida/All-purpose flour
Luke Warm water to make the batter.
1 Tsp Salt
Oil for Greasing the pan.
Makes around 18 to 20 Chitaps

Tips:
-You can replace yeast with 1 cup Toddy and let it ferment.
-You can increase the sugar quantity to make it sweeter
-If using active yeast, let it activate and then use
-Chitaps remain good outside for a day
-Use Luke warm water for the entire recipe
-You can make Savoury Chitaps by adding finely chopped onions, chillies and coriander leaves
-In warmer days the batter will ferment faster, so no need to keep it over night to ferment.
