Whenever you see me playing airsoft with a helmet, you will notice I always use the same type of headset: The Bowman Evo 3-style headset type in combination with fast helmet replicas is my absolute favourite – caused by three main reasons:

First: This one-ear headset has special cut-outs, so your awareness of ambient sounds is not affected – if you ever used full sealed over-ears, you will notice the difference.

Second: By attaching the Bowman to your helmet with zip-ties, you get a stable and permanent connection, which holds the headset in place. No falling-out in-ears and bulky over-ears: A great thing, if you ask me!

Third: Those headsets are both quite affordable and easy to get in many airsoft stores, so even if one breaks some day, it's no problem to get a quick replacement.
