Mega Man on Game Boy! In 1991 Mega Man finally goes multiplatform by moving to Nintendo's handheld giant, the Game Boy. It makes sense given how the Game Boy managed to corner the handheld market the way it did. Mega Man I, characterized with the Roman Numeral I as opposed to the Arabic numeral home console games. One might think that the Game Boy version of the Mega Man games would be cheap rip-offs of the home console version. But the Game Boy game turned out to be its own game that, while it did recycle robot masters from Mega Man 1 and 2, its levels and endgame are totally unique and, arguably, more difficult! This gameplay is from the Nintendo Switch Online service which has recently added all 5 Game Boy Mega Man games to its roster, which is hugely convenient, to say the least.
