The Illuminated Path: Master Tsongkhapa's Wisdom and Legacy in Tibetan Buddhism

Master Tsongkhapa, also known as Je Tsongkhapa or Lama Tsongkhapa, was a Tibetan Buddhist master, scholar, and philosopher who lived in the 14th and 15th centuries. He was born in 1357 in the Amdo region of Tibet and is considered one of the most important figures in Tibetan Buddhism.

Tsongkhapa is renowned for his role in the reform and revitalization of Tibetan Buddhism. He founded the Gelug school, one of the major schools of Tibetan Buddhism, which emphasizes the study of Buddhist philosophy and a strict monastic discipline.

His most significant work is perhaps "The Great Treatise on the Stages of the Path to Enlightenment" (Lamrim Chenmo), a comprehensive guide to the stages of the Buddhist path. Tsongkhapa's teachings and writings had a profound impact on Tibetan Buddhism, and his legacy continues to influence practitioners and scholars to this day.

Tsongkhapa passed away in 1419, but his teachings and the Gelug tradition he established have left an enduring mark on Tibetan Buddhism.
