Welcome. Today I will be restoring an old bottle capping/bottle corking machine. In this video you will see the disassembly of all the components, stripping paint, removing rust, painting, polishing and the reassembly of the bottle capper.

Vintage Bottle Capper Restoration

I haven't been able to find out any information whatsoever about this tool, and I haven't seen any like it being sold since I picked this one up, so I'm not sure about when or how long these were made. This piece was very rusty, but luckily there was a (very) small amount of paint left on all the pieces which allowed me to find a similar shade of green to the original. This was a much quicker project than some of the others I've done since there were only a few pieces that were easy to disassemble. Furthermore there wasn't much work that needed to be done with the pieces.
