The Huntsman's Chorus is a march from New England. Before it arrived in the United States, it seems to have been an English Country Dance. Its main melodic hook is drawn from Carl Maria von Weber's opera Der Freischütz. I learned it from my friend McKinley James, who I suspect learned it from the playing of Hanneke Cassel.
