The Sebastian Lee Op. 101 Pledge Cello Project

For years, me and my students have enjoyed these little gems, a set of etudes for absolute beginners, composed by Sebastian Lee. Though his other sets of etudes are better known, Lee's Op. 101 offers some expertly graded beginning music that is very educational and also very fun to play, while at the same time the student is initiated in the joys of chamber music since he is playing every one of them as a duet with his teacher.

I recently obtained a ZOOM h4n and I thought that a nice project to put it to use, while learning how to use it, would be some self duets. I also wanted to record Lee's Op. 101 for the benefit of my students. The two ideas naturally clicked together and I would be hitting two birds with one stone.

To put some challenge into it and increase the odds that I will be recording the full 50 etudes, I made a pledge that I will upload one etude every week. So...here goes!
