A RENOWNED BUKPI'S JAGGERIST PU GINMANG

▪ A villager of Bukpi Village in Thanlon Sub-Division, Manipur Pu Ginmang is a champion in surgarcane farming in the Sub-Division. Apart from farming sugarcane Pu Ginmang also cultivate orange, lemon, stinky bean in his farmland.

He has been managing all these farmings on his own without any financial support from any organisation/agency including the State and Central governments. So, it can be said that all these farming products are from his own hands yielded out of his personal toiling throughout the year.

Presently he is striving hard preparing local made solid molasses (jaggery) out of the sugarcance he reaps. It is said that public demand of jaggery he made is short of supplies in his territorial land and the adjoining areas. The supplies even covered the main populace district headquarters i.e. Lamka.
