RJD MP Manoj Kumar Jha also slammed the government for its reaction to the issue in a speech on the Motion of Thanks to the President's Address. Our democracy is solid, no one's tweet can undermine it, he said, addressing the government's response to Rihanna and Greta Thunberg's tweets on protests by farmers.

Rajya Sabha Chairman Naidu said on Tuesday that members could raise the issue of farmers during the debate on the motion, as the President stated the unrest in his speech.
