Welcome back to The Readers Garden! In today’s lesson, Mrs. Gardner introduces your blooming reader to glides and liquids—the last two ways our mouths make consonant sounds. These sounds can feel slippery or slidey, and this lesson helps children see, hear, and feel exactly how they’re made, laying the foundation for strong phonemic awareness and confident reading.

📌 In this lesson, your blooming reader will:
✅ Discover glide sounds (/y/, /w/, /wh/) that “slide” into the next sound.
✅ Explore liquid sounds (/l/ and /r/)—the trickiest but most important flowing sounds.
✅ Practice voiced sounds and notice how air and voice work together.
✅ Use the sound wall and picture cards to anchor sounds by where they’re made in the mouth.
✅ Strengthen oral language by modeling, repeating, and practicing along.
✅ Build handwriting fluency with curved and circular uppercase letters: O, Q, C, and G.
