On a recent trip down south, we checked out the incredible ancient city we know know as 'Moundville'. This is alabama so i imagine the redneck peanut farmers who first populated the area probably took a lot of their brain power to call it 'moundville', let alone anything accurately describing it. I wonder if there is a nearby mound town or mound village or mound pile.

BUT this incredible site is preserved thanks to the moron land owner who wouldnt let anyone visit it, or archeologists excavate it, without paying a fee. No one wanted to pay the fee so it sat untouched, and thereby preserved, while a lot of other sites were razed to the ground, Its also the place where the famous 'eye in hand' plate was dug up, the very tattoo i've got on my forearm!!
