PM Modi to Skip UNGA, Jaishankar Likely to Represent India | 80th UNGA | Better Together

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not be speaking at the 80th United Nations General Assembly later this month. Instead, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar is likely to represent India and deliver the country’s address on September 27. The high-level General Debate will run from September 23 to 29.
US President Donald Trump is set to deliver his first UNGA speech of his second term on September 23. Leaders of Israel, China, Pakistan, and Bangladesh are also scheduled to speak on September 26.
