Описание к видео Hot Cell at the Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences

A hot cell is a specially shielded cabinet used to safely work with radioactive materials. The hot cells in the sterile radiopharmaceutical production lab at the Saskatchewan Centre for Cyclotron Sciences are used for a number of different functions, including holding the automated chemical synthesis machines that separate and purify radioisotopes to make imaging agents, as well for filling vials and dispensing the radiopharmaceutical.
