of cold and considers this
the natural state of all things.

The flowers in the central garden
are blooming in colors you don't
have names for.
This bothers you for approximately
four seconds before you decide
that some colors are better
experienced than catalogued
and let it go entirely.

The letting go happens faster
here than anywhere else.
This seems to be rather the point.

She has been there since you arrived.
She has six wings — two covering
her face, two covering her feet,
two folded at rest — and an
expression of such complete
peaceful certainty that simply
being in the same room with it
makes your own nervous system
decide that perhaps everything
is, on balance, going to be fine.

hear that from a six-winged being
of divine light.

that isn't quite light and isn't
quite heat but lands on your

than you can accurately measure
you have nowhere to be and
nothing to worry about and
the silence between the
celestial bells is the most
comfortable silence you have
ever inhabited.
