Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Curt Safety chain and gooseneck anchor plate set. This is for your Curt cross wing fifth wheel hitch. This will provide a backup connection for your Curt cross wing fifth wheel hitches that are mounted on a gooseneck ball. Now this is specifically designed for your applications where you have a gooseneck ball but you don't have the safety chain loops in your truck bed. So that's gonna be kind of a rare setup.

But if you do find yourself there this is going to be exactly what you need. If you do already have the safety chain loops in your truck bed, we do sell the chain itself separately. You can find it using the part number that you see on the screen there. So if you just need the safety chains, use that part number. But if you are needing to have that connection for the safety chains, this is gonna work great for you.

So the way this is gonna work, the safety chains are going to bolt onto the trailer side cross wing headpiece as you can see on the screen there, because that is, this product is from Curt, you can trust it is gonna integrate well with the cross wing. No worries about compatibility issues or anything like that. It's just gonna bolt right in place there. And then our solid steel plate is going to install very easily over top your gooseneck ball shank. It's got the center opening there that will just slide right over top.

And then as you get your cross wing installed onto your gooseneck ball that's going to provide the downward pressure that you need to give you a nice sturdy connection. And then all you have to do once you get hooked up, you'll attach your safety chains to those openings there and that will give you your secondary connection. Just in case anything were to go awry as you're towing, you'll have that secondary connection as a backup. This does have a nice black powder coat finish and our chains have a yellow zinc plate on them. So these are going to be very rust resistant, will hold up well for you for a long time to come.

But overall, great option for that scenario where you've got that gooseneck ball but no hooks or loops to attach your safety chains to. And that completes our look for today.
