If you have Parkinson’s disease and your head or jaw is shaking or you have head tremors, this video might help you.

When you have Parkinson’s disease, you might have observed that your head shakes or you have tremors with your head. But this might not be the case. It could be that it is just your jaw that is shaking or trembling because headshaking is not an indication of Parkinson’s disease. It is more common with essential tremors. The tremors that are found with Parkinson’s disease usually happens when you are at rest or not moving. They are what do you call resting tremors.
The exercises that we are going to do today is to train our brain to do those large movements even with our neck and our mouth, specifically our jaw. The exercises will hopefully help you have smoother and better head and neck movements. Before we start record or video yourself while you are just sitting on your chair with your head unsupported. One minute of video should be enough and then towards the end of the exercises you need to record yourself again to compare if there is an improvement.

The Neck and Jaw Exercises are as Follows:
1. Look up and down - Look up bringing your chin up towards the ceiling and then look down bringing your chin towards your chest.
2. Look side to side - Turn your head side to side
3. Diagonal head movements - Turn your head up towards The left then bring your head down to watch her right shoulder.
4. Neck circles - Rotate your head in circles. 10 clockwise and 10 counterclockwise
5. Ear to shoulder - bend your head trying to touch your ear towards your.
6. Neck retraction - Sit up straight and try to touch the back of your head to the wall.
7. Opening and closing your mouth - Open your mouth as wide as again. Make sure you don’t overdo do it and dislocate your jaw.
8. Jaw side to side - Slightly open your mouth and bring your jaw side to side.
9. Jaw protrusion - Slightly open your mouth and protrude your lower jaw forward and bring it back to resting position.
