HAPPI Hour - Is the future DIY cohousing? Can we do it for ourselves?

With a growing interest in community-led housing alternatives and a diverse range of lifestyle choices across all ages, we brought our autumn/winter series of HAPPI Hour sessions to a close looking at the scope for ‘Do-it-yourself’ cohousing and what’s happening at a national and local level.

We examine the national policy landscape with the Chief Executive of the UK Cohousing Network on how the cohousing movement is taking off and what is stimulating interest in this growing sector. We are also joined by speakers from WM-Legacy in Birmingham and WeCanMake in Bristol to explore different examples of community-led approaches to generating a mix of cohousing opportunities in their areas.

Watch as we examine some of the opportunities and pitfalls with an award-winning cohousing scheme, drawing on lessons from both established cohousing communities and those in the pipeline.
