Today on our 2017 Nissan Rogue, we'll be taking a look at, and showing you how to install, the Glacier Cable Snow Tire Chains, part number PW1046. Keep in mind that this is being used as tire size 225 60 R18. These tire chains are going to be perfect for occasional use and are constructed of case-hardened low-carbon steel. These chains are going to have a low profile design, to help give an overall smooth ride, and a ladder pattern to assist with effective starts and stops. These are also going to be SAE class-S rated for vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance. Our Glacier Tire Chains are going to meet the Department of Transportation requirements in all fifty States. Come with a reusable storage bag, and come in a quantity of two. They're going to be quick and easy to install.

We'll show you how to do that now. To begin our install, we've laid out our tire chains, just to make sure there aren't any kinks or breaks in the line. Now we'll take our chain and drape it over our tire, making sure that it fits evenly from front to back and side to side. Now we can go around to the back of our tire and secure that next. Here on the back we're going to secure our notches to our eyelet on the other side. We do have a keeper on the end so we can secure our excess. Now we're ready to go around to the front and secure that next.

Here on the front, we'll do the same thing. Again we'll use that keeper to secure the excess. Now the manufacturer does recommend the use of a rubber tensioner. This part number is PW105. We're just going to attach it on all the different sides, taking up any extra slack in our tire chain. With that secured, we're ready to drive forward a couple of feet, get out and double check the tension and make any adjustments that we may need to. And that's going to be our completed look.
