I wanted to find a couple I truly didn't ship but still wanted to vid for the contest. Then I realized Duncan/Veronica would be perfect because I know I was really disappointed in 2x01 when Duncan & Veronica were back together - I was such a Logan/Veronica fan, and always continued to be. I did enjoy some of the scenes Duncan & Veronica had together... but also Duncan/Veronica to me was very different than some other couples that I appreciate but don't ship on various shows - like Brucas on One Tree Hill or Chair on Gossip Girl or Stelena on The Vampire Diaries. If Brucas or Chair or Stelena were endgame I would've been okay, especially if they wrote the shows slightly differently - I could see myself getting behind a Jeyton & Brucas endgame for OTH for example. Chair I was kinda indifferent too most of Gossip Girl's run and I've only been a Dan-people & Nate-people type shipper... etc. And I know they (those 3 couples and other similar ones on various shows) have a super passionate fanbase and have seen lots of videos about all 3 of those couples before. But when it comes to Veronica Mars, all I ever see are LoVe videos. I don't think I've ever seen a Duncan/Veronica video before. I know ciaimpala doesn't ship LoVe but does watch Veronica Mars but other than her I don't know if I know any Veronica Mars fans who didn't ship Logan/Veronica. Also I'm not sure I could've been happy if anyone other than Logan/Veronica were endgame though. I liked pretty much all of the guys Veronica dated and Hannah/Logan is cute too (and Lilly/Logan for that matter) but I just ship them so passionately. So I thought considering how much I love Logan/Veronica... vidding a "competing" couple - Duncan/Veronica being one of the main competitions I think on the show - would fit the theme of this contest really well. Also I started reading some LoVe fanfiction within the past month or so and found that Duncan is more hated than I realize. So now I think this fits the theme of the contest extra well. Because I'm not hating on him despite personally being a LoVe fan. I love Logan to death and Logan/Veronica but I see Duncan's character and ultimately largely understandable and likable despite a few weird storylines and mysteries and perhaps bad choices he made. ;) Anyway I'm rambling now... so... I'll stop and you can just watch my video. :D


Sorry for my horrendous song cut... I cut it 3 places I think, 1 of the 3 places it sounds almost flawless or good enough but 2 of the places it's really jarring and unnatural and obvious and for that I apologize. I don't normally do that but I needed to finish this video for itsjackiebiitch's contest which had a deadline of today... also I was running out of Duncan/Veronica scenes (or at least Duncan/Veronica scenes that I actually remembered/could find). So I cut the song like this. Forgive me.

Other than the atrocious song cutting... I'm actually kinda pleased with how this video turned out and happy that I made the video!! :D

I hope you all like it. Please let me know what you think. I kinda thought the song worked really well for this couple... it's hard to think of appropriate songs for the complicated Duncan/Veronica relationship but I think this one kinda worked. Tell me if you agree... or not. Whatever. I just would love a comment so that I know you watched this vid of mine! :D
