China is preparing to take advantage of India's weakness. The twenty kilometer wide and sixty kilometer long Siliguri Corridor, which is called Chicken Neck, is India's biggest weakness. This is a very crucial strategic route which connects the entire North East to India. Geographically this corridor is adjacent to Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh and is just 130 kilometers away from Chumbi Valley of Tibet. China is eyeing this route and is constructing all its roads and air strips near the border area. If China captures Siliguri Corridor then the entire North-East can be cut off from India. China's increasing interest in Arunachal Pradesh is definitely an alarm bell! This corridor is very critical and cannot be loosened under any circumstances. But to find many new options for this route, India will have to develop deeper relations with Bangladesh for these new routes.
