One film I'm crazy excited to see is The Wolf Hour, a psychological thriller that takes place during the summer of the Son of Sam murders.

From writer-director Alistair Banks Griffin, the film had its World Premiere at this past January’s Sundance Film Festival to positive reviews. Our own Meredith Borders gave it a positive review, noting that the “Hitchcockian” thriller is “grimy, tense and menacing.”

The Ring star Naomi Watts stars in the film as June Leigh, “a cultural icon and activist during the 1960s, now fallen from grace and a shell of her former self. An unseen tormentor begins exploiting her weaknesses and she must face her demons at the height of one of the darkest points in New York history: the summer of the Son of Sam murders.”

Actually filmed in New York, the latest trailer oozed Hitchcock, especially Rear Window, and promises one helluva tense-filled thriller. Check out this exclusive clip in which Watts goes into a paranoid panic as her doorbell keeps ringing.

Brainstorm Media will release in theaters and on VOD platforms December 6, 2019.
