Khalifa University - First-Ever Nuclear Reactor Model

الدكتور فيليب بيلي ، أستاذ ورئيس قسم الهندسة النووية في #جامعة_خليفة ، يعلّم الطلاب كيف يمكن استخدام الطاقة النووية لإنتاج كهرباء نظيفة بواسطة نموذج مفاعل نووي مصغر، وهو أول نموذج لمفاعل نووي داخل الحرم الجامعي. يسمح هذا النموذج الزجاجي للطلبة مشاهدة كيفية عمل المفاعل بشكل مباشر وكيف تقوم سخانات كهربائية في قلب المفاعل بتسخين الماء، والذي بدوره يتم ضخه إلى مولد البخار حيث يتم توليد البخار وإصدار شفرة توربين واحدة متصلة بالمولد وبهذا تعمل الكهرباء على تشغيل العديد من المصابيح.

Dr. Philip Beeley, Professor of Practice and Chair of the Department of Nuclear Engineering at #KhalifaUniversity teaches students how nuclear energy can be used to produce clean electricity with a pressurized water reactor PWR model, the first-ever on-campus nuclear reactor model. The glass reactor allows students to directly see how the PWR works. Electric heaters in the core heat water, which is pumped to the steam generator. Steam is generated and turns a turbine blade connected to a generator where electricity powers several LED lights.
