Unscripted words spoken by Sonny Miller's close friend Philip Boston set up the videos beautifully revealing storyline. Ben Howards Lyrics to his song "Promise" was the Inspirational music that bookends this tribute video...Brad Gerlach's raw, honest take on the loss of Sonny... says it all, and Mike Prickett's generous statements about "Best Friends" defines a feeling that Everyone had for Sonny. Thank You, Ebb Bakkela, for making that very special urn for Sonny...and to you, Robbie Rodriguez, for bringing The Bus to the memorial, the centerpiece of the ceremony, and, of course, thanks to Jenny Carmel for making such a fantastic delicious cake for everyone to enjoy.....much Mahalos.

This video is to celebrate the life and friendships of Sonny Miller....and to thank everyone that contributed to his Paddle Out Memorial. It became something special, as you will see. I purposely let the paddle-out ceremony play out void of voiceovers and sound effects...so that you can reflect on Sonny in your way. Ed Burke: A friend of Sonny's, he was there at the moment of his passing....so Sonny was with a friend.
Derek Hoffmann: Filmmaker and Cinematographer, worked with Sonny on The Search films, organized the Paddle Out Ceremony and helped the Miller family protect Sonny's vast archive.
Laird Hamilton: Iconic Surf Legend..."Everybody had some nice things to say about Sonny...But that's not hard, that was easy"....that's going to be ongoing."
Ryan Miyamoto: Director of Photography, Water Cameraman, Filmmaker
Brad Gerlach: Pro Surfer, Musician, Stuntman, Actor
Bill Ballard: Producer, Filmmaker, Cameraman
Philip Boston: Feature and Commercial Director. (Note: the picture of a Helicopter at Jaws in the background...that's the last image Sonny filmed for Philip on Point Break 2).
Mike Prickett: Director of Photography, Waterman of the year 2013...one of Miller's many "Best Friends."
