Simple recipe to cook a tasty Indian breakfast - Rava Pongal / Sooji Khichdi . Very healthy dish as it contains lot of nutrients in moong dal. Tastes good with a serving of chutney powder.

Ingredients:
1. Rava/ sooji/ semolina - 1 cup
2. Moong dal - 1/2 cup
3. Water - 3 1/2 or 4 cups
4. Ghee/ oil - 2 tbl spoons
5. Jeera/ cumin seeds - 1 tbl spoon
6. Coarsely grounded black pepper - 1 tbl spoon
7. Cashew nuts for the crunch
8. Chopped Ginger - 1 tbl spoon
9. Curry leaves
10. Grated dry coconut - 2 tbl spoon
11. Salt to taste
