The Fort Fortress Stairs are the best to place anywhere.
You have to add the catwalk to end of the stairs when blueprinting. Otherwise, it won't work.
The stairs can be removed as shown at the start of the video.
I tried using the ither stairs and you can but it's difficult and too many work arounds.
