Many contractors have shared they are eager to grow their business under their statewide contracts. Our firm, Golden Gift Consulting, has been contracted by the Washington State Department of Enterprise Services (DES) to deliver this series of workshops designed just for you.
During the workshop series, we will cover strategic management and business development strategies, to assist you with effectively managing your contract, developing new business under it, and leveraging it to its full potential. Our workshops will give you practical, actionable strategies and steps, to effectively develop new business and secure additional long-term clients. Our technical assistance staff is made up of experienced management, business development, and marketing consultants, each with many years of direct experience in managing government contracts. And there will be more workshops throughout the year into 2026. By registering for the series, you will get the ongoing info and support you need.
These workshops are scheduled to be ongoing and held on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month. We're taking a break in December and will restart in January. Each session is focused on a unique, actionable business development strategy. We will have two Question and Answer periods during each workshop session: One for you to ask about the topic, and a second one for you to ask any questions you may have about managing or marketing your statewide contracting. You will receive a copy of the PowerPoint presentation and handouts after each meeting.

Over the next several months, the Statewide Contract Holder Workshops will be held on the first and third Wednesdays monthly.
You’ll receive guidance on how to effectively manage your contract, market your contract to the agency buyers to develop new business, and other ways to leverage your statewide contract to grow your business.
Each DES workshop in this series delivers practical strategies, tools, and assistance to help you market your business and stay competitive.
Sessions include both live Q&A on the topic, and Q&A time for your general statewide contracting questions.
You will receive the slides and handouts after each workshop, and the Presentation Portion of the sessions will be recorded to all registered participants, and those on the series mailing list. The question-and-answer portion of each session will not be recorded.
From business development to prospecting to RFPs, we will cover a wide range of topics helpful for statewide contract holders.
