For 2 slices:
4 chests, 6 hoppers, 12 building blocks, 2 redstone torches, 2 comparators, 2 repeaters, 4 redstone dust, 4 shears (or non-stackable placeholders), 2 stacks and 10 junk items, and 2 filter items.

For 3 slices:
6 chests, 9 hoppers, 18 building blocks, 3 redstone torches, 3 comparators, 3 repeaters, 6 redstone dust, 6 shears, 3 stacks and 15 junk items, and 3 filter items.

For 4 slices:
