How to hack Nokia S60 Third Edition phones

...using the Trend Micro quarantine trick.

I know it's a decade or so too late, but I made this for the benefit of those who either tinker with these or as part of their collection. Nokia started implementing mandatory code signing with the release of the 3250 in 2005 which came with S60 Third Edition. Besides hardening the platform against mobile malware (which plagued S60v1 and v2 through worms such as Commwarrior and Cabir among others), it was also perhaps made in an effort to deter piracy, also a recurring problem with S60. However, as Symbian Signed went defunct and developer certificates for .SIS files have long since went by the way of the dodo, this presents an issue with retrocomputing enthusiasts who own S60v3 phones. There's been a dozen or so guides here on YouTube but I felt like doing so for the heck of it and to make a more up to date and concise guide in this day and age. And while there also exists guides involving a patched installserver.exe, I felt that the ROMPatcher+ hack is far less intrusive as you don't have to mess with the Z: drive.

Tested on a Nokia 5320 XpressMusic though this may also work on most other S60v3 and S60v5 devices.
