TCU star quarterback Trevone Boykin was arrested after allegedly striking a bicycle patrol officer in San Antonio early Thursday morning following a skirmish outside a popular bar.

According to preliminary details from the police report, as published by ESPN's Mark Schlabach, Boykin "was very aggressive and was being held back" by the group he was with following a fight with bar employees that resulted in Boykin being removed from the establishment. The officer who separated the employees from Boykin's group described the player as "very aggressive" but apparently decided not to arrest him on site as the group "stated they would get him back to the hotel" where they all were staying.

However, when Boykin and his group walked away and the officer turned his back to speak to the bar employees, Boykin allegedly ran up to a group of officers and swung repeatedly at one before "several officers took [Boykin] to the ground where the fight continued." Boykin allegedly did not stop struggling on the ground until the officer threatened to tase him, at which time he was arrested
