Toshakhana case: Imran Khan, Bushra Bibi sentenced to 14 years with rigorous punishment

Pakistan's former prime minister Imran Khan and his wife Bushra Bibi were sentenced to 14 years in jail in Toshakhana case by an anti-graft court in Islamabad, the Geo News reported on Wednesday. Khan's legal team informed that Bushra Bibi would surrender at jail after the sentence. Raising concerns regarding the independence of the country's judicial system, Khan's media team said, "Another sad day in our judicial system history, which is being dismantled. No cross questioning allowed, no final argument concluded and decision pops up like a pre-determined process in play", the team said further adding, "This ridiculous decision will also be challenged."
