Austin gets hot, but there are plenty of parks where Fido can cool off with water activities and off leash trails.

Cape Cod, Massachusetts is home to plenty of beaches, but most aren’t dog-friendly, except Provincetown beaches, but hours can vary by season.

Several hotels in the area also take dogs and let them stay unattended in the room, which is a no-no in many other places.

Have some fun in the sun in Santa Barbara.

Head to Lake Tahoe to take in the stunning views of the alpine lake with your dog.

Kiva Beach is one of the few South Lake Tahoe beaches that lets visitors bring dogs in certain areas.
