Welcome to our Spotlight Sessions, a series dedicated to conversations with change-makers and people that have made an impact on the community of people with disabilities.

In this episode, we had the opportunity to speak with Dave Barton, Executive Director of The National Alliance for Accessible Golf. Having grown up around golf lovers, Dave Barton has been a golf enthusiast since finishing college and entering into the Navy. Dave began working for The National Alliance for Accessible Golf three years ago as the editor of Golf Business Magazine and senior director of education and membership. The National Alliance for Accessible Golf is the leader in inclusion, working to ensure the opportunity for all individuals with disabilities to play the game of golf. Formed in the summer of 2001, the National Alliance is represented by major golf, recreation and therapeutic organizations in the United States; serving mainly as an education resource for people that have questions about access and inclusion.

Dave Barton shared his thoughts on the following topics:
1. How The National Alliance for Accessible Golf helps to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in the game of golf.
2. The physical and therapeutic benefits of accessible golf.
3. Educating golf course owners and operators about the ADA and creating an accessible environment.
