Seal was sharing stories about writing this song after his near brushes with mortality: about someone who was shot while standing next to him; about a bad car crash he had on Barham Bl (near the 101 Freeway) … He spoke of this song as being a celebration of life.

He walked all over the Hollywood Bowl and literally immersed himself in the crowd. I’ve never seen anyone work the crowd like this before. It was so beautiful.
