I Don't Have a Dream Job. Instead...

I don't have a dream job. The definition of a dream job has certainly changed over the course of my life, but as I understand what a dream job is right now, I don't have a dream job. Let's have a candid conversation on what a dream job is and why you do not need to have one. If you do not know what your passion is and am looking for one, please watch as I address questions like how do we find our passion, a dream job, a purpose, or calling. Do we even need one?

A dream job used to be something we enjoy; now it's more of what are we willing to put up with for 40+ hours a week, are good at, and are willing to be paid market rate salary. Work is so ingrained in our culture as Americans, and people base their worth based on the the job they have or how much money they make. This needs to stop. I think we should normalize keeping a job as a job and pursue interests and passions outside of our 9-5. We can enjoy doing our 9-5 jobs, but it doesn't have to be a dream job or a passion. The reality is that money is a huge factor in which jobs we take because we have bills to pay at the end of the day.

What if money weren't an issue and we could all design the lives we want? How do we find our purpose or calling?
