The old Parliament building was called Council House pre-independence and was designed by British architects Sir Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker in the heart of the National Capital Delhi. The old Parliament witnessed history, every major decision from the inclusion of Article 370 in the constitution to its abrogation, 1991 famous then Finance Minister Dr Manmohan Singh's Liberalisation speech, PM Vajpayee's famous resignation and whatnot. Here's a little dive into history as we Indians bid adieu to the old parliament and welcome the new parliament.
