Digital transformation, driven by the digital revolution and globalization, has become essential for businesses, which must continuously adapt to global technological advancements to remain competitive. However, this process has also highlighted a digital divide in the labor market, where opportunities vary depending on workers' skills. Knowledge- and technology-intensive companies seek highly qualified personnel, prioritizing the skills and capabilities needed for intellectual roles over routine tasks.

Therefore, the objective of this research is to determine the influence of the degree of worker’s skills in technology-based companies in Sinaloa on the distribution of their salaries.

This quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive study selected companies in Sinaloa that utilize technologies characteristic of Industry 4.0. Data was collected through an online questionnaire distributed via Google Forms between November 2022 and March 2023. The questionnaire was completed by 88 employees. Specialized software such as EViews and SPSS was used for data analysis.

A significant influence of digital skills on workers’ remuneration was observed, with notable salary differences between those with specialized and advanced skills compared to their less qualified counterparts.
