Fly Boy goes to China!

Sorry for the delay in making another video. I had not flown for over 2 months until this day due to my location being unsuitable for flying in the winter plus I was not in contact with any local pilots until recently.

We are currently staying in Tianjin, China for approximately one year as my wife (who is Chinese) really wanted to spend a year in China to be near her parents and old friends.

Unfortunately, this area is as flat as a pancake (the nearest hill is 2 hours drive away), and of course is a MEGA city! It gets really cold in winter (down to -20 deg C)! There are approximately 15 million people here in Tianjin making it one of China's biggest cities! As you can imagine, I have had some real struggles adjusting to living here, especially with the different culture and overcrowded, noisy and polluted areas!

China is so different to the UK! Especially, compare to the Isle of Wight and beautiful English countryside than I am used to. It's also not easy when you are unable to communicate (as not many people speak English here), and there are very few foreigners in my area so me and my children as a bit of a novelty and do get people staring at us a lot.

There are only around 20,000 pilots in the whole of China! There are more than that in the UK I believe. However, I was so happy to make contact with the local Chinese pilots, and I found them incredibly kind and hospitable! They even gave us some lunch! Many thanks guys for your kindness!
