DEEP is a new series where I will be investigating lake monsters, river monsters, and unknown sea creatures. In the first episode of this series, I go to Arkansas, along the White River to investigate the White River Monster, affectionately known as "Whitey." Here I drive along various sections of the river with Bandit, speak with a couple of park officials at the local state park, and try to find out what people have been reporting here for well over a century. Thank you to the locals around Newport who helped me understand the mystery, particularly Vicky and Allison whose information on the creature was so insightful. Also thanks to the author of the book read aloud in the video. The section on the White River Monster was detailed and very helpful. The footage was originally recorded in 2017 as part of a legend trip I took throughout Arkansas and Oklahoma.
