I took a fabulous trip on the daily 'Mixed train' to Kalutara South (KTS) from Dehiwala. The train 8741 departs to Kalutara daily in the morning from Colombo and rebounds to Colombo after an hour at KTS as train 8350.
I encourage you to make this trip as so many things happen on this trip! Loco detach and re-attachment at KTS. Freight loading and unloading. Working on the wrong lines! and much more!!
