Final ride. Schindler RT 300A elevator (Garage D entrance) at Willow bend mall

I’m sad to announce that this elevator is going to be demolished along with the Dillards wing of the mall. So the Dillards will be a stand alone. As far as I know they will lose this elevator and one of the service elevators which is probably located near the loading dock in this wing. There may be another service elevator in this wing but I’m not entirely sure. I’m not going to attempt them because half of this mall they are keeping and I’m sure they are exactly like the others in this mall. According to records there are five Schindler MT service elevators in this mall.


So in this video I also explain a story. I went to Central market the day this video was taken to get a gift for a family friend and I happen to find an out of order sign on that Schindler HT elevator but when I pressed the call button the elevator actually worked. I’m thinking that they forgot to take the sign off. I’m afraid to sneak videos of it because HEB who owns central market HATES photography and I don’t want to get kicked out of the store because then I wouldn’t be able to ride that elevator. At least I can ride the elevator like I did when I was a kid.
