KMB - Goodbye Centroliners

KMB first introduced Neoplan Centroliners in 1998, which were allocated to Kowloon Bay Depot. KMB even promoted their Centroliners publicily as KMB has stepped in to a new milestone. In 2000, Neoplan Centroliners with improved designs were introduced, and they were all allocated to Tuen Mun Depot. In 2002, the last batch of Neoplan Centroliners with MAN engines were introduced. Except AP139 - 142 which were allocated to Kowloon Bay Depot, others were allocated to Tuen Mun Depot. However, 10 more years has passed, they started to retire. In addition, most of them retired earlier so as to let newly-arrived buses enter service as soon as possible, especially 3rd generation AP, they retired after 15-16 years of service. 6 September 2018, the last 2 Neoplan Centroliners with whole-body advertisements, JV8145 and JV7012, retired after serving routes 68A and 68M respectively, symbolising KMB Neoplan Centroliners has become a part of history.
