When I say, a mythical or supernatural creature that typically lives by consuming human blood, most of you would know what I was talking about right. Of course, it’s the vampires. Just to make things clear before I begin the video, the term "vampiress" is sometimes used to refer to female vampires, though "vampire" is not generally thought to be a gendered term.Ok, so vampires, can be found in the folklore and mythology of cultures around the world.
Mythology and lore surrounding vampires vary considerably, but the basic concept of a being that drinks the blood of the living is relatively consistent. In most iterations, vampires appear human, though they may have some unusual physical characteristics like very pale skin and fangs. But then again, there are those that have physical features which are totally different from what we imagine them to be. Creation of these interesting creatures is a story for another day buy today, let us take a look at some of the common types, kinds and classifications of vampires.
Blood drinkers - Also known as Sanguine Vampires, this vampire category is what comes to mind for most people when you say the word ‘vampire.’ The blood drinking vampire must consume human blood in order to survive and can be seen hunting humans to get this blood-food source.
Emphatic vampire-The Emphatic Vampireis one which do not feed on human blood to sustain itself. They can feed on emotions and feelings of the host human ranging from love to angst and every emotion in between.
Elemental Vampire- These vampires also does not feed on human blood but also does not feed on human emotions or energy. The Elemental Vampire feeds on natural energy sources like lightning, wind, etc.
Disfigured vampires (Homo-Wampyrus Nosferatu) - Also known as Nosferatu, these vampires possess abnormal physical characteristics and are at times, a bit grotesque. The disfigurement was either a result of a very long vampire life with a lack of care OR a complication at the time of vampiric transformation.
